The Best Summer Drink Idea: How to Make a Cute & Refreshing Adult Capri Sun

A refreshing summer drink is the best kind of drink. And how can it not be refreshing when it is served in a capri sun bag?? Nothing like a yummy summer drink out in the sun. Pack the liquor+mixer separately and everyone can chose their flavor. OR make a mocktail – nonalcoholic summer drink. Use any of your favorite beverages for the capri sun & no one will know it is a non alcoholic drink!

This is an easy summer drink idea that was so easy to prep and store in a cooler. The plastic pouches did not break or leak which was a plus since we did not want any red or yellow coloring spilling.

We made these Adult Capri Suns for the boat this year and they were SO yummy. Everyone LOVED them and we all looked so cute walking around with these instead of a bottle or can while hanging out by the beach or pool. We usually do jello shots or just a jug of drink for a fun drink but we will for sure be doing these Adult Capri Suns from now on. No more overnight making of the jello or having to prep drinks way in advance.

Summer Drink Pouches for Capri Sun

Below are the Pouches that we ordered on Amazon. They were cheap (came with a lot), perfect size, they zipped shut, and came with fun colored straws to drink with!

Summer Drink Recipe

*Makes 6 Adult Juice Pouches*

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 Cup Tito’s Vodka
  • 64 ounce Ocean Spray Cranberry Mango Juice (or whatever juice/flavor you want to do)

Directions:

*Store your juice in the fridge and vodka in the freezer if you want to drink these right away.*

  1. Remove about a quarter of the juice (about 17 ounces) from the juice container.
  2. Add in the Vodka to the container.
  3. Close lid and shake for about 45 seconds.
  4. Pour 2 cups of mix into each juice pouch.
  5. At this point, we added back in the extra juice to not waste it (maybe another shot of vodka 🙂 ).
  6. Repeat the process into each pouch and ensure they are sealed.
  7. Keep upright and place in the fridge/freezer/cooler to keep chilled until ready to drink!
  8. Add in a slice of mango to add some cuteness to the drink bag!
