Pack your beach bag this summer with ALL the essentials! Whether you are at the apartment pool or driving to the beach for the day, it is important to be prepared. The worst is getting to the chair or all the way to the beach and forgetting something.
Being from Florida all my life, I have created the beach bag essentials packing lists. I have always loved a long day on the beach, versus my husband who is a couple hours kind of guy. My summer beach bag keeps us both entertained, prepared, and set for a great day in the sun!

A good beach bag is important. This bag is large, waterproof, and is perfectly suited to hold all your essentials for a great day in the sunshine!
I love this waterproof beach bag because it is structured and won’t fall over in the sand or on the ground. We also love it because it is so big and fit everything we need for the day!

1. 2 Towels
Want cute towels like these ones? They are the perfect summer beach towel!
You for sure need 2 towels in your beach bag tote! Use the first towel for drying off/sitting on your beach chair and the second towel is great as a pillow or extra for a friend!
There is always that one friend (or husband, or sister) that forgets to pack a towel. I always like to have an extra to be prepared! These towels are great because they are large and dry very quick (which is important when you are back and worth in the water all day).
2. Stainless Steel Water Bottle
Need a good, cute, stainless steel water bottle for the summer? This one is perfect!
This stainless steel water bottle holds 40 ounces and keeps the water ice cold during for a long period of time. You won’t get dehydrated in the sun with this bottle!
I NEED ice cold water on the beach. It gets so hot on the beach and by the pool so I always want to make sure that I have water to not get dehydrated.
3. Quality Sunscreen
Need good sunscreen for your beach bag? Sun Bum is the BEST!
Sunscreen…..duh, skin cancer is no joke! Your beach bag needs to have sunscreen! Sunbum is the best to get a tan, but also protect you from the strong summer UV rays.
I love Sunbum. I do not have natural tan skin so I need a sunscreen that will keep me protected but also help me get nice color. This sunscreen is perfect!
4. Cover Up
How cute is this cover up?? Add this to your summer beach bag!
This is the perfect cover up for over your bathing suit. The long sleeve, button down is great for throwing over your suit. The material is light weight so it won’t make you sweat in the summer!
This is the best summer cover up. I love these for the boat or on the beach because they are so easy to throw on over my swim suit!
6. Comfy Sandals
Want cute summer shoes? These are the perfect sandals for the summer!
Slip on sandals are essential for the summer. Reefs will last all summer for walking in the sand. BONUS – they can get wet, you won’t have a problem with blisters or wearing of the shoes.
I love having comfortable shoes to throw on for the beach, boat, or just on the weekend in general. These are so easy and go with any summer outfit.
8. Sunglasses
Want cute summer sunglasses? These are the trendy pair that you need!
Don’t be stuck squinting all day in the sun. These are the most chic sunglasses! Ray Ban are the ideal summertime sunglasses and truly never go out of style.
I have multiple pairs of Ray Ban’s for the summer! I love having them in my car, beach bag, and in my house for anytime I need to throw them on!

Airpods are a classic – Podcast, music, or audiobook are the top 3 to be playing while relaxing in the sun. These are wireless too so it is easy to throw in the bag.
I don’t leave my house without airpods so you best believe that these will be what’s in my beach bag. They are easy to charge, have a long battery life, and have good sound quality.
13. Bluetooth Speaker

A bluetooth speaker is great when going with friends or other people. JBL is the best because of the quality. It is also waterproof so you never have to worry about damage.
We have our JBL playing all the time and that obviously means we have it playing when we are in the sun! We bring it to the beach, pool, and any summer activity!
14. Cooler
Want a good quality beach cooler? This is the one you need for your food and drinks!
A larger cooler bag would obviously not fit in the beach bag but it is a must for the summer. This cooler beach bag with zipper is worth bringing if it is an all day trip or multiple people are going with you to the beach.
We fill this up with drinks and sandwiches. Yeti never lets you down – food and drinks will be cold all day in the sun.

There is always someone who needs a charge when we are at the beach. It is never me, but it is always someone. I just so happen to be the friend with a portable charger ready to go!

These are amazing for keeping beverages cold in the heat, the quality is unreal. It can also easily distinguish which drink is yours.
